Founder – Sri Chinmoy
The late peace visionary Sri Chinmoy initiated the Impossibility Challenger World Record Games in 1982. Their purpose is simply to inspire people to experience the joy which comes through challenging the seemingly impossible, increasing one’s own capacities and self-belief and also sharing inspiration with others. Sri Chinmoy dedicated his life to advancing the ideals of world friendship and oneness, and saw sport as a wonderful unifying way of achieving this.
Founded upon the ideals and vision of Sri Chinmoy, the Sri Chinmoy Centre is the organiser of the Impossibility-Challenger Games. The Sri Chinmoy Centre also organises the world’s largest participant Olympic-style torch relay, the bi-annual World Harmony Run, and inspired by Sri Chinmoy’s vision for world peace, offers meditation and stress-management classes free of charge around the globe.
